CARE has no employees. Its functions are carried out through professional service providers and member controlled committees, including:
CARE Council
The CARE Council is the driving force behind efforts of the CARE, Ltd. members to continually improve the overall quality of each individual community for the residents, their families and community employees. CARE Council is composed of representatives from all retirement communities in the CARE program and is run by and for these members. The communities within CARE Council advance the CARE Program by allowing retirement community professionals to focus their collective efforts on objectives within individual areas of expertise. The communities meet regularly to share ideas and experiences in development of recommendations for community improvement, resulting in overall program improvement and stability.
Murray Risk Management and Insurance
Murray is responsible for four key areas in the CARE Program including program management and administration, policyholder services, claim/event management services and risk control services. As a CARE partner, Murray's goals are to 1) eliminate or minimize member exposure to loss through effective risk management and claims handling and 2) to continue to secure the appropriate risk transfer vehicle to protect individual and combined assets. Stevens & Lee, Attorneys
Stevens & Lee provides unique risk and "event management" services for the CARE Professional Liability exposures. They review data from committee meetings, potential claims and state and national resources to assess the needs of the CARE organization. In addition, they perform loss trend analysis and provide educational program development. View website.
