Welcome to the Communities Advancing Retirement Excellence Council.

CARE, Ltd. is a captive insurance company licensed under the laws of Bermuda. CARE, Ltd. was organized to provide various insurance coverages for not-for-profit, central Pennsylvania retirement community organizations and is owned by its member insurers through contributions of capital. CARE Council is the member-driven risk management arm of CARE, Ltd. Together, they form the CARE program.

The CARE Council is the driving force behind the combined efforts of the CARE, Ltd. members to continually improve the overall quality of each individual community for our residents, their families and community employees. CARE Council is composed of representatives from all retirement communities in the CARE program, and is run by and for these members.

The committees within CARE Council advance our purpose by allowing retirement community professionals to focus their collective efforts on objectives within individual areas of expertise.

The CARE Council committees include:

• Employee Safety and Workers' Compensation
• General and Automobile Liability
• Professional Liability
• And Education

The Committees meet regularly to share ideas and experiences in development of recommendations for community improvement, resulting in CARE "Program" improvement and stability. Recommendations, however, are only words without the commitment of every member to implement, monitor and perpetuate the committees' work within our own Communities.
